My Comments on the Loving Ways book:

Teachers Susan Ross & Barbara Alexander wanted to tell a story of love using the mediums common for an elementary school art class.
The challenge in reproducing original art like this is the differing reflective properties of light on varying substrates and multiple elevation changes of these materials. Ms. Ross & Alexander used finger paint, crayons, pencils and trimmed crepe paper.
We needed to increase the density of all the colors in order to have the maximum impact of the art. Although the printed page color looked little like the original art, the book's color over all just jumped of the page and the author/illustrator were very pleased with the end result.
We added to the playful nature of this book by printing a solid burgundy color on both sides of the end sheets (the paper glued to the inside cover of a case bound book).
I am very pleased with the artistry found within the pages of this children's book and the two authors, Susan & Barbara, have recommended RelKey Books often over the years.
